Family Beginnings

   Jake and Jessi Schwertfeger have been close friends of my husband and mine for quite a few years now. Doug (my husband) and Jake started their friendship in high school, and continued to be close through out their years away at college and now the beginnings of married life! For the past couple of years Jake and Jessi have been located in Zambia, Africa following their passion of reaching out to those who have not heard the good news of Christ. While living in Zambia, Jake and Jessi fell in love with an orphaned baby girl named Sunda. After loving her back to health, they made the decision to make Sunda a permanent part of their family and adopted her as their own daughter. This past fall Jake, Jessi, and Sunda came back to the states to spend the holidays with family and friends, and to show off Jessi's baby bump! While visiting with the Schwertfeger's I had the wonderful opportunity of spending some time with Jessi, photographing her with Sunda and Jake. They are such a beautiful family, and this past Saturday they welcomed little baby Kya as their new addition! Soo, these are a little late coming but I guess its always better late then never!

Beth and Tony

This past weekend I had the opportunity and pleasure of shooting with Kevin Keefer at Beth and Tony's wedding.  It was a beautiful day and even though I had only met Beth and Tony a few hours before they said "I Do" they made me feel right at ease.  It was truly an honor for me that I was able to capture some of the special moments on their wedding day.   I want to thank Kevin for allowing me to tag along, it was truly a wonderful learning experience.  I love having the opportunity to work with so many talented photographers, and I feel so blessed to be able to share a small part of so many couple's special day!
